Gravitation anime summary

Warning! this section contains spoilers, that are advances that might waste the surprise to those who hadn't already watched Gravitation's anime!

Track 1- Gravitation

In this episode some of the main characters are introduced: Shuichi, the voice of the Bad Luck, Hiro at the guitar, Seguchi Tohma the producer, Sakano is the unlikely manager and Yuki Eiri, a fascinating writer that completely changes Shuichi' life.
The two meet at the parc while Shuichi is trying to write the lyric of a new song. Yuki judges harshly the work giving him a "Zero Talent". Shuichi goes mad about this and runs after Yuki up to his house, but there he's greeted coldly. But when all seems to end badly, Yuki kisses him. It tastes like a challenge...

Track 2- Live in Soul

Sakuma Ryuichi, the voice of the dissolved band "Nittle Grasper", Is back to Japan after some time like soloist In America. He's with Mr. K, his Manager and Is greeted by Seguchi Thoma, a fellow of his old band and director of the NG Records. While Ryuichi Is heading to the NG'studios he meets Shuichi that's still down by Yuki's words. Ryuichi tries to cheer him up with many very strange gifts. Shuichi shakes his sadness away and forgets the fear for the concert. Though, later he can't charm the audience and Ryuichi helps him again walking to the stand and singing with him, turning the show Into a success.
Mika, Yuki's sister, ask Shuichi to help her to reapprocing her brother, since the feeling between the two is now more strong.

Track 3- Stray Heart

After the success of the first concert, Thoma gathers the "Bad Luck" so that they don't take It too easy and spurring them to do their best. He also assigns them a keyboard operator, since they need It to be a perfect band: Suguru Fujisaki, his cousin. The new element causes an argument between Shuichi and Hiro, but It's solved easily. Sakano (their manager) Is fired, but only to become the Bad Luck's producer.

Track 4- Wave Shock

The troublesome story of Yuki and Shuichi continues when Shuichi decides to go to live with Yuki. The Bad Luck now needs a new manager: Mr. K makes his spectacular entry with great charisma. Since they need a lot of notoriety they take part to a tv quiz show. The prize Is the chance to play their new song on air.

Track 5- Winding Road

In this episode Ayaka, Yuki's fiancée, is introduced. The engagement was combined by their parents and this explains a part of the problem of Yuki with his family. Knowing this makes Shuichi blue, but when he sees Yuki at the Bad Luck concert he feels again charged up. While Ayaka understands that her love for Yuki will never be repaid.

Track 6- Shady Scheme

The success of the Bad Luck dislikes to the ASK, another rising J Pop music band. Taki Aizawa, the leader of the band, doesn't hesitate to use violence and blackmail to let Shuichi harmless for his rise to success. Meanwhile Yuki and Mika have an argument since he can stand no more her continuous effort to make him return back to his family.

Track 7- Ground Zero

After knowing of the violence Shuichi suffered, Yuki goes to find Taki. The frosty glace and the anger of Yuki persuades the leader of the ASK to give up, for the moment. Later, though, Yuki tries to send out Shuichi, maybe he Is afraid that Shuichi might go into trouble by being by his side. Shuichi thinks that Yoki doesn't want a homosexual relation and so he dresses up a girlish-looking sailor suit (quite logical…)

Track 8- Song and Song

Taki tries again to stop the rise to the success of the Bad Luck going to Yuki's house, but he doesn't get anything. Like If It wasn't enough Tohma scares him saying things he can not respond. The next day Tohma declares that the "Nittle Grasper" will form up again.
This new makes Shuichi Incredibly happy, but when he sees the performance of Ryuichi, he understands how far away he Is from him and the goal of being like him. Shuichi goes blue.

Track 9- The Deepest Brain

In this episode Yuki's past begins to show: we see him when he was just a boy In love with his sensei: Yuki Kitazawa. He compares his past and present with Shuichi: he's afraid of obtaining the same tragic end. To relieve Shuichi, Yuki promises him a all comprehensive date If the Bad Luck sells 1.000.000 copies of their album. This reward was suggested by Mr. K In a very… uncommon way.
Meanwhile, Yuki's home Is tangled by the journalists that are looking for a scoop: the declaration of Yuki engagement with Shuichi.
Meantime, Hiro says he wants to leave the band.

Track 10- Heads or Tails

Ayaka cheers Hiro up and promises him a date to celebrate the selling of one million copies of their album. It's also a K Idea… Shuichi and desperate Suguru try to persuade Hiro not to leave the band during a press conference that was given to declare his leaving. The conference turns Into a party when a Kumagoro dressed Ryuichi appears and announces the selling of one million copies of the Bad Luck disc.

Track 11- Secret Day

In this episode new truths about Yuki past come to surface. The date between Yuki and Shuichi Is an unforgettable day, but in the evening Yuki confesses what has tormented him for years: a violence he suffered from his sensei that ended Into a tragedy. Yuki couldn't stand it and… fired to Kitazawa and his friends. Killing him. Shuichi  is deeply striken by the story, the fact Yuki told it to him is a great act of trust, but he doesn't know how to help Yuki.
While Shuichi runs away with those thoughts, Yuki decides to leave Japan and come back there where everything began: the place where he met his Sensei.
New York.

Track 12- Breathless

Shuichi gets aware of Yuki's sudden vanishing and understands that this time is forever: he finds Yuki's apartment completely empty. Even Ryuichi changes his behavior, becoming cold and Impassible. This Is too much for Shuichi that loses his voice at few days up to his next concert.

Track 13- Got It All

Shuichi hasn't resumed his voice yet, and communicates through notices. One night, while he's walking about the studios of the NG Records, he meets Ryuichi that Is ununderstandaby in a good mood and kind. Ryuichi notices  that Shuichi have a colour album and invites him to draw. Ryuichi teaches to Shuichi the way he has to sing: shining!
Meantime in New York, Yuki returns to the apartment where all happened in just one night: the violence he came trough, the killing of his master, the bitterness that accompanied him all this time. When, almost thinklessly he watches a small picture that shows him and Shuichi... In that very moment Shuichi jumps out: he escaped from Japan to reach New York.
Nevertheless, the concert is going to begin without him: Japan is quite many Kilometers far away from America! Mr. K, with his gargantuesque resources, turns out to take Shuichi back in time for the concert.
Meantime, Yuki meets Tohma at the cemetery by the tomb of Yuki Kitazawa. Tohma looks worried, but he relaxes when Yuki says: "I'm coming back home".
