Maki Murakami borns in May, 24, gemini, Blod type A.
She debuts in 1995 with "Narushito no Genki" (the Narcisist's tragedy)
on "Kimi to Boku" magazine (you and Me magazine), by Sony Magazines.
On the same magazine, one year later, Maki Murakami publishes the Gravitation
Serie. It is a good success, by the way, the magazine closes in 2000. By many
request of the fans, Gravitation manga grows popolarity in 2002, when "Gentosha"
decides to re-publish all the serie from the start. Aftewards (1999) comes a
two-episode OAV and, in 2001, the anime version borns too. Nowadays, the english
version of the manga is distribuited by TokyoPop, dutch one from "Carlsen"
(2003), meanwhile in Italy, we are still wating for some news by Kabuki Publishing.
Gravitation universe, loved in Japan and famed in occident, inculdes many Gadget,
some CD-Audio with original soundtracks an eight Drama-CD (audio-cd acted by
original anime dubbers). Maki Murakami and her staff realized also some doujinji,
that are forbidden for the young people, with the title of "Gravitation
Remix", where we find the same Gravitation's characters in a erotic key.

Maki Murakami nasce nel segno dei Gemelli il 24 Maggio, gruppo sanguigno A.
Debutta nel 1995 con "Narushito no Genki" (La tragedia del Narcisista)
sulla rivista "Kimi to Boku" (Tu ed Io), curata da Sony Magazines.
Nella stessa rivista, un anno dopo, Maki Murakami pubblica, in serie, Gravitation.
E' subito un successo, tuttavia frenato dalla chiusura della rivista nel 2000.
A grande richiesta dei fan, il manga accresce ancora la sua popolarità
nel 2002, quando viene riproposto da Gentosha. Nascono inoltre l'anime (2001)
e un OAV in due puntate (1999). L'edizione inglese del manga è curata
da TokyoPop, quella tedesca da Carlsen (2003), mentre restiamo ancora in attesa
della versione italiana a cura di Kabuki Publishing. L'universo di Gravitation,
amatissimo in Giappone e famoso anche in occidente, comprende svariati Gadget,
molti CD-Audio con le canzoni della serie e otto Drama-CD (Cd audio recitati
dai doppiatori dell'anime). Maki Murakami e il suo staff hanno inoltre realizzato
anche delle doujinji, vietate ai minori, intitolate "Gravitation Remix"
in cui ritroviamo gli stessi personaggi di Gravitation in chiave erotica.
ENGLISH:
Shindou Shuichi, vocalist of the pop band Bad Luck, is a 19 years old
boy which aspires to reach success in musical career. However, some difficulties
arise when he meets the handsome, accomplished romance novelist Yuki Eiri. One
fateful night, the lyrics of Shuichi’s newest song are blown out of his
hands and straight into those of the mysterious stranger. Yuki reads the unfinished
love song, only to cast it back into the wind. Yuki’s only response was
that Shuichi had ‘zero talent’ and writes at an elementary school
level. "Give it up," he tells Shuichi. Crushed by the author’s
harsh comments, Shuichi finds the author the next day and demands an apology.
One thing leads to another, and Shuichi finds himself madly in love with the
author. Yuki tries to distance himself from Shuichi, often acting coldly towards
the musician. Even though Yuki is constantly criticizing Shuichi and calling
him an idiot, Shuichi is persistent. Despite Yuki’s uncaring attitude,
he loves Shuichi very much, but, because of his past, is afraid of betraying
‘someone else’. The story’s primary focus is on the evolution
of their relationship through many trials and events. Exilarant, cute, a true
romance comedy, this series is a must watch!

ITALIANO:
Simpatico, avvincente, esilarante, irriverente. Gravitation è uno shonen-ai
che vi saprà appassionare. Pur discostandosi dal manga originale, che
tra poco uscirà in Italia, l'anime riesce a divertire e allo stesso tempo
farci pensare. La storia vede Shindou Shuichi, giovane cantante in erba, nella
sua ascesa al successo: dopo aver fondato il gruppo "Bad Luck" insieme
a Nakano Hiroshi, suo amico dai tempi delle scuole, decide di far carriera nel
mondo della musica J-pop. Tuttavia le sue speranze vengono infrante in una serata
ventosa quando un ragazzo dagli occhi sottili e dal volto severo legge per puro
caso il testo di una canzone scritta da Shuichi, commentando davanti ai suoi
occhi l'opera con un "Talento Zero. Rinunciaci". Da qui si susseguono
una serie di episodi che ci porteranno a conoscere gli altri personaggi della
serie: gli altri membri dei Bad Luck, i "Nittle Grasper" con Sakuma
Ryuichi, cantante di fama mondiale, Seguchi Tohma presidente della NG Records
e, ovviamente, Yuki Eiri, il ragazzo misterioso che tanto ha criticato la poesia
di Shuichi. In una serie di gag irresistibili e una cura paziente nella caratterizzazione
dei personaggi, la colonna sonora e le canzoni non sono da sottovalutare: sono
orecchiabili e innovative, nello stile unico del J-pop. Oltre ad essere una
storia d'amore "inusuale", visto che racconta del rapporto tra due
ragazzi dello stesso sesso (non vi spaventate, non troverete nulla più
di un bacio) Gravitation offre ore assicurate di divertimento!
