Sweet&Drools: sometimes they return

Laaaaaaliho! Finally we meet again your favourite column - what?? - about manga and anime less-known! This week our finger lays to the unexplored territory of Kannazuki no Miko!

    

Welcome back to our nanoda-show, your weekly date with a maniac, me, and my loyal Aiko-chan, who this time did her very best.
First of all I would greet who in the first episode appreciated the way i opened this "emotionally" column, i felt encouraged to continue though the big work the resides behind it. Thanks to lassurdoinpersona, Mokona87, Riku, Sally, G1nick and obviously Aiko-chan.
But let's talk about funny stuff (?), like the exceptional battery of pans i want to introdu... hell, i mistook again. By the way! Let's talk about Kannazuki no Miko, ladies and gentlemen!

This anime/manga, also known as Kannaduki no Miko [神無月の巫女] , it's a full-immersion in the mecha-shounen-yuri no sekai (world). Wash your glasses, guys, you read right: Y-U-R-I [百合], the anthitesis of yaoi. Continue the reading to not spoil a fantastic out of common and conventional shounen schemes!

Kannazuki - from now on this is its code name - talks about two sorceresses opposed from each other (are you serious?), or rather Sun and Moon. Kurusugawa Himeko and Himemiya Chikane, so, are respectively the sorceress of sun - Himeko has got blond hairlike the sun and is hyperactive, neither to say - and the sorceress of the moon - Chikane seems Yuki Eiri from Gravitation serie sometimes, neither to say again - who unify to fight the Yamata no Orochi, the legendary 8-headed dragon of the legend which tells about the existence of a temple on the moon where the dragon can be locked. In fact, since he cannot be definitely killed and/or destroyed, everytime Yamata is being locked inside the temple someone must sit until his new awake and his new appear. The work of finding and guiding the sorceresses to the battle is since always entrusted to the Ogami family, the one which in the future will reserve some uncomfortable surprises to our two heroes.



The genre, though it's mecha/shounen with a yuri relationship, seems to estrange from any specific type. Kannazuki no Miko isn't a classifiable anime, because if the classify it as a mecha type, we early find out it's not like it, if we classify it as a shounen, then the existing shojo ai and yuri parts erase the sense, if we classified it as a simply yuri may we'd do mistake in the whole way.

Kannazuki no Miko is itself. Without law-breaks to the standards of an action anime, soaked with the - or it would be better to say "talks about" - homosexual relationship between the two protagonists. Bu on this point there are various mismatches between the anime and the manga.

First of all, the story is simply because of of its juncture points - the so called "changes of scene" - even if anyway it remains so original oppositely to many other shounen, moreover the relationship between Himeko and Chikane, for the first time since i have been reading about yuri, has an happy ending and even it's a likely romance, that astonished me so much that i wanted to introduce this story today for our column Sweet&Drolls, this anime/manga, absolutely short, but unbelievably intense.

The anime, which is constituted only by 12 episodes, belongs to a lighter kind of homosexual relationship, the shoujo ai in facts wins against the yuri, characterizing it for the tense and full of action atmospheres, the drawing is essential and the animations are perfect, without the slightest mistake.
The manga, instead, is a sort of a yuri's marathon; in just two tankobon in fact, explains to the perfection the hotter and intense scenes of the story without saving any animation effect that exists on the anime. The draw is typical of the shounen: rude and frenetic, but also slow and emotionally. Kaishaku, how the authors sign themselves - yes, they're two men - it's a duo of artists characterized by an intenseness and particularity of drawing unimaginable. Nothing out of world, nothing out of course, but an emotion behind every table.

Kannazuki no Miko is the starting point of that so precluded world of yuri. Not only using the feminine body for porn pictures for all the tastes, but even diping the finger into the shoujo ai, that for a time doesn't make me feel perplexed. This time we don't talk about entangles of bodies and moans, no misters! It's love, action and that holy atmosphere that tantalized my otaku's appetite.

Unfortunately the serie SEEMS to be already licensed, so NanodaTv can't host this fabolous anime. Anyway, without official references, and tough with an unpublished title, i put on for you some links to watch it. In the case the news will be confirmed, i'll take off links and take every blame on it.
