Koyuki is a normal guy, he thinks he's unable to emerge: not satisfied of his condition and of his incapacity with girls, he wish to change life but doesn't know how to do.

BECK Mongolian Chop Squad is without doubt a great manga which can interest deeply the reader.

Opportunity comes when he meet Ryoosuuke, a boy who introduce him in the music world, causing the explosion of his passion for the guitar. Harshly applying himself day after day Koyuki succeed to increase his musical skills, so entering in his friends's band (called Beck from Ryuusuke's strange dog) and thank to this he begins to grow. Here starts the true plot of this Manga, which tells the sacrifice, the effort and the vicissitudes of a band of friends who want to make their dream come true: to make to listen to their music to the whole world. The other remarkable side is the love story that seems to born between Ryuusuke's sister (Maho) and Koyuki. Driven by the courage which this girl give him, our hero will discover his true great talent: an incredible voice that can make of him a "Protagonist".

BECK Mongolian Chop Squad is without doubt a great manga which can interest deeply the reader.

The fundamental concept is the same ones of Slam Dunk, a good to nothing character which finds his special quality without perceiving it, with a contour of comicality and feelings. The plot, accompanied by a good drawing and originality, is the best ingredient of this title. Notable the reserved space for the psychological development of the characters: feelings play a fundamental role.

Indeed interesting it is the continuous comparison among similar stimuli but for different aspects of life (social life and music life): Love and Passion, Incertitude and Doubt, Excitation and Vehemence...

The author has also succeeded in overcoming the possible risk of monotony which he could incur, thanks to numerous and intelligent unexpected events that succeed every time in surprising and capturing the reader.

Beck therefore is a title that absolutely you don't have to lose!
