Nabari - A weird anime Mania?

It has recalled Naruto. It shaked hundreds of people, who exalted, who angry. It put confusion in the ideas of thousands of Otaku, fangirl, and the rest of us. It's young, beautiful, strong and intelligent... it is Nabari!

   Cute Miharu

Sometimes, that time around when Orion intersects with the ellictic orbit of Venus - I'm saying words without any sense, don't worry - I can be interested in a manga, anime or something i fell in love before too.

By now i got it: I'm completely fond of Nabari.
My journey with Nabari starts, like it does for many others, the evening when Miharu Rokujou and his happy companion appears on my big and opaque TV showing his innocent face, tearing me an entusiastic "oh my God".A very good start, isn't it?

Nabari Manga 1
Yes, I dare to say that despite the - a bit - unoriginal beginning, I was fascinated.

Indeed, on this, I am sure that many who saw the first few episodes - maybe the first three - had instantly thought (except who has a strong lack of Anime culture, or a deep opinion) that Nabari is copied and spat to Naruto, with the drawing style of Nana.

Obviously the superficial judice reveals another time itself as the weapon of ignorants.
Nabari No Ou, in fact, has birth as a manga AT FIRST, and THEN as an anime and the second one turns unexplainly to growths absolutely different from the manga, returning then parallel (even the same dialogs) to the comic and then get away again. Even in this case, so, the anime doesn't do justice to the manga.

The papery work, fruit of the work of Yuhki Kamatani, develops the story of Miharu Rokujou, a 14 year old kid who makes us remember the little Aoyagi Ritsuka from Loveless, characteristic that makes him undoubtedly an uncommon character, like the drawing in is complex.

Anime

Miharu, who likes to live his life with indifference, finds himself since his birth to have to share his body with the Shinrabansh, the most powerful secret art of the world of Nabari, or rather the world that exist in the shadow of the "superficial one". Should I explain it more simply?

In practice... ninjas live with normal people believing to be part of another world.

Nabari Shadows

The principal components of the story that made possible the "success" of Nabari, moreover the shounen ai slashes threw as a handhold - that, unfortunately for the lovers of Najika and of her clearly visible underwear, are all explained and justified with the proceeding of the story - and the "Nana-like" style, or rather the character design similar to one adopted by the creators of Nana, the fact that must be highlighted is that the drawings are well groomed, the story becomes more intriguing with episode by episode and the uncredible charm that everyting instils to us when we watch/read it.

Nabari isn't a masterpiece,
it's obvious, it has nothing to share with the holy beasts in the "Rose of mangas" like Naruto, One Piece, Vampire Knight et cetera, et cetera. The reason, defending what i like, might be that the manga is in developing at the moment and it's stuck at the 44nd chapter - if my memory doesn't deceive me - ready to continue in any moment.
So why am i so entusiastic,
you might ask.

I'm eager because Nabari has got a beginning that mix the antithesis of manga: ninjas, battles, hate, indifference, the calmness of the plot and the withering sensational development that are worthy to the most riveting action cinematography, obviously fused with simply bright short scenes that tear even more than a smile and which make everything seem a revolution, something unic and... rare! It is surely that: rare! Who cares if someone has to blab that guys are too "friendly" eachother? It is a beatiful story, and no one can say otherwise.

See you at LaLiHo next!

I think this series is more of a "masterpiece" then any other manga I have read. The anime, perhaps becomes a little sub-par after episode 16, but the manga itself is drawn like nothing I have ever seen.

When I re-read chapter's 45-50, I would swear to you I have never seen another comic or manga that uses such subtlety of expression or renders such beautiful characters. I have also never been so thoroughly absorbed by a story and the deep and interesting relationship of the characters as I have been by this series.

I think Kamantani deserves some sort of award.
