Death Note: Warner Brothers got the rights for a Live Action movie!

Oh yeah... After Dragonball, Death Note too is on the list of the next Hollywood movies. You will wonder why, with the other three Japanese movies already out... but, to the last news, they want another one to do!

The rights for Death Note, the already famous supernatural manga  by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, have been acquired by the Warner Brothers, the well-known american filmmaker society. Raise your hands if you don't know it!

The news of this possible movie had already leaked out some months ago, but everyone was hoping it would have turned out in one of those groundless rumours... instead, I'm here to assure you the certain coming out of the movie.

For those of you who still don't know the plot of this anime / manga, here it is in a few lines:

Light Yagami, a teenager of the university of Tokyo, finds in the garden of his faculty an odd black note with the words "Death Note" scribbled on it. Reading the writings inside it, he understands that they are the rules to use it, among which the main one is: if anyone writes one's name here with that person's face in mind, that person will die.

At first, Light is a bit sceptical and believes it is all only a joke, but when he tries it and sees it working really, he decides to clean out the world of all the criminals infesting it...

And then? Ooooh, wait, I can't tell you how it goes on!

Anyway, on this series three japanese movies have already been made: Death Note, L: Change the world, The Last Name. Down here we can see some screenshots of those movies (to me, the Shinigamis were created in a very realistic way).

In the american version, it is said that Light, the main character, will be depicted as a college student and that the story will follow all the 13 original tankobons of the manga.

Can we hope that they will remain sticked to the plot, or you think that they will insert invented and out-of-place ideas?

In regards of the cast, there's nothing sure yet about the possible actors to star in this movie...

Do you have some ideas about it? To you, how will this new movie come out?

Let me guess.
Originaly, this was a pure japanese story where every character in the main cast, at least, Asian.
If it might comes like Dragon Ball, we'll surely have some american dude who find a book in New York and start giving more job to the necro's pages of the news papers. (Watch out! There will be car explosions out of no-where and some sex seen there! The apocalyptic will be NEAR!)

Nah! Unless they take actors from the actual story backgrounds and make it less Drama than the original movies (which sound almost impossible, when we check the difference in methods between both professionnal environnements) this will be only a american remake with a couple of american flag in the backgrounds and with some wrong translated names and backgrounds.

Well, it's my opinion!
