Blood: the last vampire on British cinema from 12th june 2009

The live-action of the famous anime Blood: The Last Vampire will arrive in the United Kingdom cinemas the 12th June 2009.Directed by Chris Nahon (the kiss of the Dragon) and the choreography of Corey Yuen (Transporter 1 and 2; The One of Jet-li and X-Men) BLOOD, THE LAST VAMPIRE will have Gianna Jun in the role of Saya, protagonist of the story is the Japanese actress Koyuki in the role of Onigen, enemy of Saya.

    

The film will arrive in Japan in the 29th May (with the title Last Blood), in the United Kingdom in the 12th June and then in France in the 17 June 2009. For the moment the arrives in America and in Italy aren't in the plan. The last August the royalties had been acquired by the Universal Picture, but the arrive of the film in America hasn't still been confirmed.

And now we speak about the plot, I haven't had the pleasure to see this animation film, but I have much heard about it.

The protagonist of the story is a "girl", middle vampire and middle human, who hunts the vampires for count of an secret government organization. Rough, introverted... and from the dark past. The task to eliminate some vampire presented in a High School is held in trust to her, and to do it she mingle between the students.

The animation film during 48 minutes, produced by the Production I.G, the same of Ghost in the Shell, the two film of Patlabor and Jin-ROh; ideated by Momoru Oshii, present itself without doubt as a more interesting film, realized with digital techniques and thought for the international market, in fact for half film the language used is the English, and for the other part of film the language used is that Japanese (thing that I find much particular O.O) though the rhythm is short the narration is high and so it doesn't annoy. In many persons have appreciated the draw and above all the fluid animation and the right fusion between the digital techniques and the draw.

Who knows if the film will trace the plot of the anime, or enlarge the points of the plot that they have developed in precedence... you only have to wait.

Maybe I deceive me... but... there is to hope considering that the vampires seem returned in vogue, don't you find it?
