Anime: One Piece - The Enies Lobby Arc

This One Piece arc tells about our heroes struggling about the World Organization and the CP9, the court of justice where World Government enemies are condamned.

    

But let's take a step back, when the straw hat crew was still at Water 7.

That is a metropolis of the Grand Line built on water (editor's note: just like Venice) that thanks to excellent carpenters is equipped with a sea train, a very good system of transport, communication and commerce (in the course of events we'll find out the existence of a second train). In the island, Nico Robin is kept by a mysterious character and she is forced by him to kill Iceburg, the owner of Galley-La Company, blaming Luffy and company for the misdeed. The mysterious kidnapper is the commander of CP9, a secret police that tried for years to take possess of the ancestral weapon called Pluton, created to oppose the power of another equally powerful weapon.

To take possess of this weapon, the organization infiltrated in Galley-La some spies that, pretending to be carpenters, get near and near to the Major and owner of the group of carpenters. In the course of events, during the W7 crowning moment, there is a curious flashback that tells the past of Iceburg and Cutty Flam a.k.a. Franky, leader of the notorious Franky Family. That is a full-blown family where the main duty of the members is to dismantle the ships docked in all Water 7, to resell then the pieces at high prices. At this time, the members of Luffy's crew gain knowledge about the sly plan of CP9 and discover that they want to go to Enies Lobby with the sea train to bring the prisoners (Nico Robin and Franky above all) at the court of justice.

In the meantime, the Aqua Laguna, equivalent of our high tide, is approaching and will destroy the city. The members of the crew can't get the train soon enough because of the high tide and they are guided by Kokoro in the undergrounds to take a mysterious sea train: the Rocketman; and unexpectedly Sanji, who wasn't with the group, seeing Nico Robin getting on the train, follows her in secret and now he's on the train. The rest of the crew reaches the captain at the end of the fight and they find theirselves "face to face" with all the members of CP9. But, un unforeseen event seems to freeze the main characters: the central bridge doesn't open despite the members of SS arrived on the top of the towers and turned on the switches, because the soldiers of the island oppose the intruders sparing no effort.

A turn of events, the Rocketman gets back in action and, using the half-open gate as a launch pad, throws himself against the main door of the Palace of Justice. With much bravery the members of the crew throw theirselves from the tower to the train, so they could enter in the palace. And so there is! The train destroys the door and the members can finally enter.

Fukurou awaits them there, and much naively tells the crew that all the members of CP9 possess a key, but only one will open the padlock of the handcuffs weared by Nico Robin. And may the fights begin! Franky defeates Fukurou with much shrewdness, Sanji is defeated by Kalifa that now must face Nami, Kaku and Jabura respectively fight Zoro and Sogeking (also handcuffed due to a sensational mistake of Sogeking), Kumadori must fight an unstoppable Chopperzilla; while Luffy pursue Rob Lucci, that guides Robin, together with Spandam, in the submarine jail from where you can't exit.
