Trip to Japan: Tokyo. Ginza AppleStore

Ginza is composed of an incredible number of shops and boutiques, we went there looking for the Sony Showroom. Right there we had the chance to observe one of the most spectacular exhibitions of the Japaneses maniacal precision about time. The showroom had to open at 11 o'clock in the morning, I can't really get the opening times in Japan, we were really early so we had a walk in this block of elaborate buildings and eventually found the Apple Store.

   Apple Store a Ginza

The Apple Store was newly opened and we went inside to take a look.
The Apple Store in Ginza was gigantic. 4 floors filled with Macs, iPods, accessories, a conferences room and a free internet room. A lot of people were waiting with us for the daily opening.

To move from a floor to the other there was two glass elevetors, even they were in the Apple style. There was just one button, and at first we were a little puzzled. On the second floor in the internet room an old lady was surfing like a crazy on the net, I felt a little strange about it even if on the shinkansen I already saw a grandpa playing blissfully with his PSP. On the outside you could see this unsettling wallpaper of standing people, but in front of a book shop we found something quite more unpleasant.

Entrata AppleStore Ginza

A little bit away from the Apple store we find an alarming creature... The big face of this "woman" we already saw every time we took the metro on the advertising posters, like the sumo wrestler, she was one of our obsessions. I guess she was some kind of astrologer. Your future in the stars: love, wedding, job, money... each book is for a planet, the fun thing is that her face is just on one of the books of the series. Can't guess why...

Vanna Marchi giapponese a Ginza

If it wasn't enough, we saw her even on tv.... she reminds me someone else...

Madarake was still closed so we waited a few minutes. At 11 o'clock with the noise of a bell (the classical diing dooong diing daaang...) a guard opened the door, not one single second off.
The Showroom is so big that the street at it's side is named Sony Street.

Once finished our tour of the building we return to the hotel for a break and than we went to the renowned Tokyo Tower!! But I'll write more about Tokyo Tower in the next article ^_-

Ciao!
