Too good to be true?
In 2006, Kyoto Seika University, another Japanese university, had opened, in turn, a similar museum which was visited by 30,000 foreign tourists during its first year after opening. Here we can see an external image of the museum:

However, the Meiji University's, museum, is planning on opening another museum even bigger than the one above. Well, the biggest university in Japan must have the biggest museum!!! When opened, this museum will have nearly 2.5 millions of objects (obviously manga volumes, magazines, video and DVD, playthings, action figures, fanzine and much other material).
Oh! And did I also mention the huge maxi-screens they have for showing people anime? Or the places where the research center in which they can give hospitality to Japanese experts/scholars (but also foreigners), that want to specialize themselves in the study/creation of manga and anime? Remember, this is on top of the anime/manga hoard they have waiting for you to dig in to!!
We still don`t know the precise location of where ths awesome place is going to be situated.
THere are many similiar musuems outside of Japan such as the Cartoon Art Museum, and in the city of New York we also have the Museum of Cartoon and Comic Art!
Do not miss those if you will be in Tokyo!
