
One of the risks when you decide to have a japanese tattoo is it to turn to someone who doesn't have an adequate knowledge of the language; the result is often a permanent and meaningless tattoo. There are a lot of kanji, and some are very similar to others. A single mark can change or nullify their meaning. I've decided to write here the kanji I'm asked more often for tattoos. Some more advice: when you find the kanji you like, take it to the tattooer with the highest resolution possible! This way, the tattooer can copy it at his best, avoiding any error. I've already seen tattoos which, for an error, were meaningless. Remember! A tattoo is forever! (almost, though removing one is a painful experience).
