FAQ about Japan - Second act

Today I'll be acting like Detective Conan again (ehm...) and will continue the investigation on the myths and curiosity about Japan. Let's enjoy the hunt together and break some more stereotypes!

   questions-about-Japan-2

I have already unveiled a lot of curiosity about Japan in the previous article; now let's go on with some other questions. If you feel like asking something you want to know, I'll be glad to answer!

Q: Is it true that railway employees push passengers inside the trains during rush hours?
A: Well, to be honest, I've never seen them in person, but a friend of mine become one of their "victims" XD

Q: Are trains always on time?
A: Yes! And the same goes for the underground and buses. I've been impressed by the efficiency of Japan public transportation. What's more, Japanese people are very polite when they travel. Have a look at this picture:

Courtesity Seats

These are Courtesy Seat signs. If during the trip no seats are left, Japanese people stand up and give preference to pregnant women, women with babies, old people, and also folks with health problems or injuries. If you go to Japan, please remember to do the same, your kindness will be very appreciated!

Q: While driving, do they keep to the right or the left?
A: Right!

Q: Japanese cars consume less petrol?
A: Not really. Theirs are like ours. I have to say that mostJapanese people have vehicles with automatic transmissions, above all in a big metropolis like Tokyo. This is a really good idea to save petrol in traffic.

Q: Let's change the subject! How does the Japanese school system work? Is it like ours?
A: The Japanese school system is like this:
from 3 to 6 years: Kindergarten
from 6-7 to 11-12 years: Elementary school
from 12-13 to 17-18 years: Middle school
from 18-19 to 23-24 years: Senior High school, College, University, and Graduate school.
Some institutes have "split" the accademic career in this way: "Lower Middle school" from 12 to 15 years and  "Upper Middle school" from 15 to 18 years.
Japanese schools are very strict, and entrance examinations are very pretentious. School uniforms are compulsory and school time could take up more than 7 hours per day!

Q: So, when school is over, Japanese people work a lot!
A: Well... let's say that Japanese people are not worried about work. On average, they work from 8 to 9 hours per day.  And they work at a cracking fast pace.

Onsen

Q: Do Thermal baths really exist? Like in Anime and manga?
A: Sure! They are the famous Onsen baths! They can be public or private, indoor or outdoor. When you take a bath in one Onsen, you wear nothing, neither swim suits.

Q: So everybody is naked! Is it true that most Japanese guys have a small penis?
A: What a weird question... D8  XD Though... on average... yes!!

See you next time!
